I’m currently working on a setup where we want to connect DonorPerfect with a Digital Membership Card system, and I’m trying to figure out the most efficient integration approach.
The idea is simple: whenever a donor or member is added/updated in DonorPerfect, a digital membership card should be automatically created or updated. This card could then be used for event access, identity verification, or member engagement.
I came across APIANT as a possible middleware solution. It seems useful for:
- Triggering actions when a new donor or donation is created
- Syncing member data between systems
- Automating workflows without heavy custom coding
However, I’m unsure about a few things:
- Is it better to use DonorPerfect’s API directly for membership card generation?
- Or use a platform like APIANT to handle workflows and syncing
- How reliable is real-time sync when linking CRM data with a Digital Membership Card system?
My main goal is to reduce manual work while keeping member data consistent across systems.
If anyone has implemented something similar (especially with Digital Membership Cards), I’d really appreciate your insights what worked, what didn’t, and any pitfalls to avoid.
